1.Who we are and what this covers
MatchPoint is a nearshore talent partner that helps companies in the United States and Canada hire professionals based in Latin America. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers personal information we collect through this website and in our dealings with prospective and current clients — for example when you request profiles, send us a message, book a call or work with us under a Service Agreement.
2.Information we collect
Information you give us. We only collect what you choose to send us:
- Profile requests: your full name, work email, company and the role you are hiring for.
- Contact form: your full name, email, company (if you provide it) and your message.
- Booking a call: the details you enter in our scheduling page, such as your name, email and anything you add about your needs.
- Working with us: what you share during calls, by email and under a Service Agreement, such as role requirements, feedback on candidates and billing contact details.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. When you submit a form, our spam check reads technical signals from your browser and device to confirm that a person, not a bot, is sending it.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website, and we do not collect payment card details through it.
3.How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- reply to your requests and messages;
- schedule and hold intro calls;
- scope the roles you need and prepare shortlists and proposals;
- provide our services and administer your Service Agreement, including invoicing;
- keep the website and our forms secure and free of spam and abuse;
- comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis for this, we rely on your request, on taking steps to enter into or perform a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, or on a legal obligation, as applicable.
6.International transfers
MatchPoint works across the United States, Canada and Latin America, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from yours. When we transfer personal information, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected as described in this policy.
7.How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy: inquiry details while we are in discussions and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, and client records for as long as the Service Agreement is in place and tax and accounting laws require after it ends. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8.How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to this website, spam and bot protection on our forms, and limiting access to the people on our team who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- withdraw your consent or object to how we use your information;
- ask us to stop contacting you.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
10.Notice to California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you and your browser, for the purposes described in this policy:
- identifiers, such as your name, email address and IP address;
- professional information, such as your company and the roles you are hiring for;
- internet activity, such as the browser and device signals our spam check reads when you submit a form.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. You have the rights to know, correct and delete your information, and not to be discriminated against for using them.
11.Children
Our services are for businesses, and this website is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12.Other websites
This website links to pages we do not control, such as our call scheduling page. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell the people affected before it applies to them.
